Sorry for bitching and whining and milking for compliments
Well I’m back writing the Tabloid. My depression finally passed. It just took a trip to Palm Springs to chase the blues away. Palm trees, sunny skies, poolside with margaritas and magazines and sexy guys, Joshua Tree National Park, road tripping with my sweet friend Marty for my 35th birthday.
Today I’m home sick from work, just a cold, nothing to worry about. I’ve been watching TV all morning: a biography of John Waters followed by an interview with John Waters on the Independent Film Channel. Followed by soaps. So I got motivated to write some stuff for SHOW SHOW, having a hard time of it so here I am, getting loosened up.
I feel bad about whining last issue. I was in a whiny state of mind, and I really don’t want the Love’s Supreme desire Tabloid to be about me whining. In fact I want it to be less about me and more about the world around me. Did that come out right? Or maybe just balanced out more in that direction. Speaking of which, there’s an election coming up and since all of the other major papers are giving their endorsements, and have been breathlessly waiting to hear the endorsement of the LSD Tabloid, it’s time to let it rip.
I support Nader. I also support Gore, but mostly I support nurturing the Green Party in America. A vote for Nader is not the surest way to get Bush elected, it's the surest way to materially support the organic growth of a viable progressive third party. If the Greens get 5% support, then they qualify for millions of dollars in federal matching funds which would help them immensely. If nothing else, voting for Nader registers loud and clear that there are a lot of people who would prefer the country lean to the left and not the right, and it forces the two parties and the rest of the country to recognize that fact.
Regarding Gore, I’ve heard people saying he’s the same as Bush, that there’s no difference. Gore is not the same as Bush. Yes he has to deal with the same powerful forces and is forced to make compromises, as is the nature of politics, but he is most definitely not the same as Bush. In any case, no matter who you personally support, I urge you to vote. It does matter, it's real, it's right now, and it's important. Blue

Tennessee2
Tennessee you can just keep on awaitin for me. It’s not time for me to run off and sit on the porch somewhere just yet. Walking down Market street a couple of nights ago, after a night of partying with friends at a fund raising party for the film “The Cockettes,” buzzed smiling and happy, three guys in Renaissance drag passed me on Market street. I told them they looked great. They were in town from Seattle and had just been to the exotic erotic ball. Out of nowhere one of the guys bends over, lifts his dress and flashes me his ass, a “Seattle hello.” Then on Monday I went to Monday night yoga at Marty’s, then up to sleep over on Mount Tamalpais with my friend Stuart, then to a yoga class in Corte Madera taught by Susan Powers (excellent). Then I smoked lots of pot and helped some friends with their medical marijuana harvest. Later on Tuesday we grabbed some more friends and went to Baker (AKA Golden Gate Bridge) Beach and watched the fog and a giant crane roll in under the bridge. That night I went to a party at Marty’s and had a scandalous time. Wednesday I went back to Marty’s for his Star Trek Voyager-watching party, followed by more raciness. Thursday I met up with Lars, Erick and Mark to work on Show Show and smoke pot. All week I realized how much I truly enjoy my new job. I love the people, the money is better, the hassle per dollar ratio is way less than Starbucks. In fact I usually have a really good time there. In short, I don’t know why I was bitching last month, except that that’s the way I am, that’s the way people are, they go through periods where everything seems to suck and they just have to bitch, and then it passes and it’s hard to remember why things seemed so shitty. In short, I love San Francisco, I love my friends, and I’m  not ready to leave, though we may look for a place to buy in the East Bay, as is the wave of the future. The west is tapped out, crowded, jam-packed, time for the freaks to slowly ooze back east. Beware! I think the big change that allowed me to move from a shitty pace to a good space is that I realized that what I really want in this life is to be a more loving, trusting, open person. I got all bent out of shape when I was judging my life, trying to measure up, getting attached to what I should do or who I should be; basically I sat down and did my usual magickal ritual of writing out the magick that I wanted to come into my life, the changes I wanted in myself, and when I finished it I burned at like I always do. Once again, the negative energy cleared away after I performed the ritual, and the energy was all about EGO! I have such a fucking ego. I’d love to drop it. I drop it every chance I get, until it feels like I’ve dropped it too much, then I have to pick it up again. But mostly it’s about letting go and trusting the Universe. And I always forget! And then i remember, and then I forget, and so on and on

It Is All Too Bright By Far!---by Haia of Venus

It is all too bright by far!
But only a callous creature could refuse
    the request of a flower
    to rest for a time
    within its heart!
This is neither madness nor cinema...
    Let us call it
    ego-less sharing!
    Not to worry, though...
    the transition is simplicity itself!
    There!
    You see?
    Now let go!
